Guide

Performance: Base class Pike; Tier 3 classes are Marshal / Dark General / Baltan Lord; ultimate is Phantom Gale Wave. Unique passive "Wings of the Storm" grants flying movement over terrain features, ignores enemy control zones, base move 4 (5 at 6-star). From 4-star, +5% ATK per 1 move, scaling to +10% ATK per 1 move at 6-star; also gains the "Wings of the Storm" buff for 1 turn at turn start. Wings of the Storm: attacking an enemy grants extra movement and removes the buff; ending action while it remains grants an extra action and removes it (unremovable, 1-turn duration). Called a passive that leverages the Baltan-race lore; very superior in high-difficulty content full of obstacles and impassable terrain. At 6-star, base move 5 means an unconditional +50% ATK. In World Boss raids Agassi can move onto footing-less spaces to attack, letting you place a melee dealer at coordinated-attack positions instead of a ranged one, or circle behind a footing-less Diene, so Agassi can pull coordinated-attack damage even from a frontal (non-coordinated) position. Wings of the Storm is a highly strategic buff (spread buffs/debuffs then attack, or hit-and-run). Broken-tier passive gained unconditionally every turn. Caveat: not stated in the tooltip, but Agassi cannot receive "cover" directional damage reduction near walls/obstacles or sword/spear shield troops; and Agassi is already weak to ranged attacks, so remember this.

Classes:

  • Marshal: shared class that learns "Spiral Thrust". After using a range skill, for 1 turn gives allies within 3 tiles up to +25% range-skill damage and up to 25% HP heal. Good synergy with the General's "Cry of Command". Works with the spear-line shared range skills Chain Spear, Gale Strike, Spiral Thrust.
  • Dark General: the original-work class, learns "Dread March". +40% ATK and -40% damage taken when fighting debuffed enemies; when an enemy ends its action within 2 tiles, applies debuffs (Confusion / Shrink / Paralysis). Very usable in the current debuff-stacking meta (mid-2025); good fit with a weapon whose manual attack is a weapon skill. Considered viable as an endgame class.
  • Baltan Lord: the class Sad had in Genesis War 2; learns "High Flight", with the exclusive Assault Baltan-to-Baltan Lord tree. Unconditional +30% ATK, +60% coordinated-attack damage, and gains "Sky Dominion" buff when ending action next to an enemy (crit rate +30%, damage taken -30%, control zone in 1 ring around). Firepower-focused; recommended as first priority to raise. High Flight ignores counter/coordinated attacks, lets you move through enemies, and reduces melee damage taken by 50%. With +60% coordinated damage, also considered as an endgame class.

Key skills and ultimate:

  • Charge Assault: TP 2, cooldown 3. Single-target damage + stun. Deals 100% ATK and advances 1 tile; target is knocked back up to 4 tiles, +20% ATK extra damage per tile knocked (so 4 tiles = +80% ATK extra). If the knocked enemy hits a wall or another enemy, both stunned 1 turn. If the target is not stunned after the attack, spend 1 TP to reuse the skill up to 4 times. Core dealing skill; enables ping-pong plays and up to 5 coordinated-attack hits. With extra actions (e.g. Vigor buff), the extra Charge Assault is gained after the extra action. Raid bosses are often action-control immune (no stun), so pour in as many casts as TP allows. With weapon 3-star, end action first to gain Condensed Fighting Spirit then take a re-action. Combined with Isabel's "Concentrated Combat" you can guarantee a 5-hit Charge Assault chain, and with cooldown supporters can fire the 5-hit chain every turn. Caution: attacks draw counters, so a 5-hit chain takes 5 counters; Charge Assault advances 1 tile so keeping distance is hard. Best to slot an ally between boss and Agassi, or stack DEF/RES or self-heal.
  • Dread March: TP 3, cooldown 3. Applies "Loss of Morale" and "Confusion" to enemies within 2 tiles. Loss of Morale: ATK/Magic/crit rate -25%, no extra move/action, class passive can't trigger. Strong debuff; great for a paratrooper-style deployment into enemy lines to aid survival.
  • High Flight: TP 1, cooldown 3. Self-buff: melee damage taken -50%, move through enemies, no counter/coordinated attack received; lasts 2 turns. Strong defensive skill; essential for deep deployment. Note cooldown 3 with 2-turn duration leaves a 1-turn gap.
  • Phantom Gale Wave: pick direction, deals 100%~120% (?) ATK to enemies within 7 tiles ahead while piercing through to the farthest empty tile, then deals 100% ATK to enemies within 2 tiles after moving. (The text here says "100%~120%"; the ultimate table lists 100/115/140% per stage - flagged (?).) A super-charged version of Gale Rend Flash. Long travel risks going deep into enemy lines, so best used under High Flight. Notably the first ultimate with a 3-turn cooldown, so with TP it can be used more often than others. In World Boss raids at a coordinated-attack position it can move to the opposite coordinated position.

Signature weapon and recommended gear:

  • Signature weapon Siegfried: extra stats ATK and crit rate. Weapon skill: when an enemy ends its turn within 1 ring, swing the weapon for 30%~80% ATK to enemies in range. Agassi-exclusive: at turn end gains "Condensed Fighting Spirit" until next turn start. Condensed Fighting Spirit: crit rate/crit damage +10%20%, stacks on dealing damage, max 24 stacks, unremovable; from 3-star, gain 1 TP when a stack increases. Focused on manual attacks; spears counter in a straight 2-tile line, so deployment forces continuous Bleed. Basically applies on enemy turns only; not gained from Vigor extra actions, but Second Wind re-action lets you attack with it on ally turns and gain stacks normally. From 3-star, TP gain on stack enables the guaranteed 5-hit Charge Assault; raising Agassi 3-star is worth considering.
  • Alternative weapon Gae Bolg recommended: coordinated attacks can't crit so raw ATK contributes more; TP payback via Isabel; crit-triggered fire damage adds firepower. Community says raw cumulative firepower makes Gae Bolg arguably stronger than the signature weapon; more than sufficient if not interested in manual attacks.
  • Armor (Legendary): Assassin 4-set for ATK/crit-damage dealing; Envoy 4-set optimal for deploy-into-enemy-lines (ATK% + survivability); Enemy Wind 4-set for survival/coordinated attacks; War God 4-set for self-heal/basic-attack support. Hero-grade: Chivalrous 4-set for counter builds, Senior Scout 4-set for survivability, Assassin 4-set for high crit. Wide selection depending on dealer vs paratrooper playstyle.
  • Accessory: Ring of the Ancient Hero optimal for the dealer; fits the paratrooper style. Alternatively Cursed Pupil with Dark General class for constant ATK% and damage reduction; with High Flight added, reduces melee damage taken by 90%+ note 2: High Flight 50% + Dark General passive 40% + Cursed Pupil ATK-reduction 10%. For more survivability, an incense/censer like Joan's works. Hero-grade options include Wolf Fang, Wound Aggravation Charm, Rift Generator, Golden Dice, Black Dice (survival).

Evaluation: A near-counter-proof paratrooper with flight, powerful mobility, and effectively 2 actions. Can hit-and-run in group fights, deploy into enemy lines to run wild with counters and manual attacks, and in boss raids secure free coordinated-attack positions and 5-hit Charge Assault for shocking self- and coordinated-attack firepower. Has flying movement ignoring terrain and control zones; High Flight ignores enemy presence too; at high star base move reaches 5 with 2 moves/turn, giving the best mobility of all playable characters in the game. Class passives/actives make defense strong too, allowing aggressive deployment; can be run as a manual-attack turret. With weapon 3-star + re-action or with Isabel, pulls a different tier of firepower via guaranteed 5-hit Charge Assault + coordinated attacks; also a strong coordinated-attack dealer. Pairing with Isabel in the World Boss raid Diene fight changes the damage digits, so a Charge-Assault-only setup is recommended in raids. Being Dark attribute it isn't attribute-checked except vs Light. Trivializes puzzle-grade Simulation Training stages and endure-type PvE maps via flight + 2 actions. Caveat: as a flying unit it's relatively weak to range/ranged attacks ("flying units are traditionally weak to ranged dealers in SRPGs"). AI issue: sometimes AI won't use Charge Assault (its base damage is 100%, same as a normal attack, so AI saves TP), instead using basic attacks then the ultimate and flying to the far side; setting rune #6 (Wind rune) and #5 (Chaos rune) to raise skill damage reportedly prevents this, but keep rune levels adequately high or the AI may still spam basic attacks. Across the whole Genesis War series no Baltan-race named character appears from after Agassi through Seopung to Genesis War 3 P2, so flying-movement playable characters are likely unique to Agassi (unless an ESP/magic-flight type is added); worth securing for its uniqueness.

(No explicit S/A/B tier letter grade is present in the text.)

KR Creator Guide

Character review of Agassi by 하막군의게임튜브 · 2026-08-04

The game's first flying unit. Harpies had always ignored terrain as monsters, and the reviewer had been curious how the Baltan flight from the original games would actually be implemented; Agassi is the answer. He also can't get past the casting — the portrait is a handsome aristocratic young man and the voice is Jang Min-hyeok, the same actor as Black Prince, which he finds a poor match.

His headline judgement, unusually, is that Agassi is simple. After a run of elaborate new legendaries, this one can be explained quickly. (0:00, 0:30, 1:00)

Wings of the Storm: movement is the stat

Flight over terrain, control zones ignored, and base movement 5 — but only at 6★; below that it's 4. Attack power and physical penetration scale at 10% per point of base movement, and he stresses the distinction: it's the movement stat itself, not the distance actually walked. At movement 5 that's a flat +50%, and a movement buff from outside pushes it to +60%.

Every turn he also gets the Wings of the Storm buff. It behaves like Landam Kelvins' re-action with one important difference: attacking doesn't cancel it, it converts it — attack and you get extra movement instead of an extra action. That makes hit-and-run the default way to play him. (1:30, 2:01, 2:32)

Class: Dark General for PvP, Baltan Lord for raids

Dark General gives +40% ATK and -40% damage taken while fighting an enemy that has any debuff, and Confuses and Withers anything that ends its action within 2 tiles. Two stacks of Wither becomes Paralysis, which adds crit chance taken and shuts off extra movement and actions entirely.

The Confusion has a catch worth knowing before you field him: it fires on action end, not turn end. An enemy that steps next to him and casts something action-ending — a Sprint, or Heidelun's Override Field+1 more → — gets Confused and wanders off mid-turn. He flags it as something to be deliberate about rather than a pure upside.

The +40%/-40% clause is why he wants Cursed Eye as the default accessory: it applies a debuff by itself, so the condition is simply always true. This was bugged on release and didn't apply; it has since been patched and now works. (3:03, 3:34, 4:05, 4:35)

Baltan Lord is +30% ATK, +50~60% pincer damage, and a self-buff when he ends his action next to an enemy: crit chance up, damage taken down, and a control zone one ring out. He points out the distinction from Marshal+2 more → and the shout classes — this one buffs him, not the team, with no exclusivity clause. That plus the pincer scaling is why the consensus already calls Agassi a raid character. (4:35, 5:06, 5:36)

Charge Assault is the raid skill

100% of ATK while advancing a tile, knocking the target back 4 tiles for +20% per tile travelled, Stunning both the target and whatever it collides with — and if the target isn't Stunned afterwards, 1 TP buys another cast, up to four times.

He is blunt that the Stun rider rarely matters: you need four clear tiles behind the target for it not to trigger, which is harder to arrange than it sounds. The chain is the point. In a raid, where the boss is generating TP for you every time you hit it, four casts in a turn is routine, and that single skill is why he rates him so highly for PvE. In PvP the consolation is that one push can Stun two units at once. (6:07, 6:38, 7:10)

Dread March and High Flight

Dread March hits everything within 2 tiles with Loss of Morale — the same debuff Cesare Borgia carries — plus Confusion, which scatters the group. Because it isn't an attack, the passive's extra action survives it: cast it, then walk in and hit something. On Dark General that's ideal, since the debuff it just applied turns on the +40%/-40%. He notes that with Dread March opening, you don't strictly need Cursed Eye — but he still recommends it as the general case. (7:10, 7:41, 8:11)

High Flight is, in his view, the skill that makes Agassi good: -50% melee damage taken, movement through enemies, no counterattacks and no pincer attacks against him. Stack it with Dark General's -40% and melee damage against him is cut by 90%; with Baltan Lord's -30% instead, 80%.

Then the sting: the release immediately before him was the Outer One, a gunner, and Agassi's whole defensive package does nothing about ranged damage. One hit from Heidelun and he's gone, which is most of why the community reception was lukewarm. Against anything that isn't a ranged dealer he is genuinely hard to kill. (8:11, 8:42, 9:14)

The ultimate

Pick a direction, run seven tiles through everything for 120% each, then hit everything within 2 tiles of where he lands for another 120% — an upgraded version of Gale Phantom Slash, which he notes almost nobody uses. At full manifestation both halves reach 140%, and he adds them together and calls it 280% on anything caught by both.

He tried the obvious opener — start on 4 TP from the artifact, High Flight in, take a barrier, ultimate — and reports it simply didn't hit as hard in practice as it reads. He doesn't use it much. (9:45, 10:15, 14:24)

Gear

Cursed Eye, as above. For armour he currently runs One Against a Thousand, but talks himself out of it on camera: Spiral Crest+1 more → already gives +40% physical penetration and the passive gives up to +50% more, so the set's penetration is largely wasted. The more manifested he is, the better Black Crow looks. (10:45, 11:17)

The weapon is optional

Siegfried grants Condensed Fighting Will at the end of the turn, lasting only until the start of the next one — so it applies to counterattacks and the weapon's own swing and nothing else. The swing fires when an enemy ends its turn within one ring, and it hits every enemy in the ring, so a second and third arrival get caught too.

The problem is ordering. Dark General's Confusion resolves first, the enemy flees, and the weapon swing never happens. From ★3 the buff returns 1 TP — but only when a stack actually increases, so once you're at four stacks, further hits pay nothing.

His conclusion is mild: it isn't very necessary, but there's no better spear around, so use it if you have it and don't chase it if you don't. (11:17, 11:49, 12:19, 12:49, 13:20)

Runes

All Chaos. He tried Wind for the penetration and dropped it — between Spiral Crest+1 more →'s 40%, One Against a Thousand and the passive's scaling, penetration overshoots long before the runes matter. (13:52)

Artifacts

Meticulous Preparation+10 more → is the one that starts him on 4 TP, which is what enables the flight-in-and-ultimate opener he describes.

Spiral Crest+1 more → is +40% physical penetration and Bleed on any penetration-type hit — he draws the contrast with Shakvari of War, whose Bleed needs a critical hit; Agassi's just needs to connect.

High Gaze is pincer and counterattack damage, and he's sceptical of it: on the raid bosses he has in mind, the safe footing means no pincer positioning and no counters, so Spiral Crest looks better to him. He leaves the question open for raid specialists. (15:26, 15:56, 16:28)

Verdict

Awkward rather than bad. Strong in PvE, unremarkable in PvP — he puts Agassi in the same slot as Silver, charging across the board, and thinks Silver does it better. If you aren't pulling everything, this is one he'd tell you to skip. (16:28, 17:00, 17:33)
