Guide

Overview / Performance: Base class is Fighter. Tier 2 has the exclusive class 'Justica'; Tier 3 classes are Royal Knight / Storm Knight / Empress Royal. Ultimate is 'Changcheon Ilseom'. Unique passive 'Knight's Oath': each time a buff is gained from a skill, gains 1 stack of the unremovable ATK/DEF buff 'Knight's Oath' (+4%8%). It stacks buffs aggressively; but beware Black Prince's Atomic Blast, which scales damage by number of buffs held (the buffs stacked to build Knight's Oath are removable). If remaining TP is 0 after using a skill, the spent TP is refunded (cooldown 43). TP matters greatly in this game, and this effect was carried over from the father's passive, which was considered a broken passive. Albatini's main skills cost 3+ TP so it's very useful. At turn end, secretly guards a random ally and Empress Christina ('Secret Escort', not exposed): pre-emptive strike, fights in place of the escort target when attacked, does not trigger if allies move 3+ tiles away. A medium-armor slash character that can still escort allies. Faithfully recreates the original by always protecting Empress Christina (funnily, it does NOT protect Chris). Since the effect is hidden, beware in PvP if an enemy team has Albatini. If Empress Christina is on the team, revives once per game (recreates Christina giving Albatini the dark-blood revival in Genesis 3; so he can't revive without Chris).

Classes: Tier 3: Royal Knight (needs adjacent allies), Storm Knight (focuses on personal combat power), Empress Royal (gains ATK-up and damage reduction each turn, clears debuffs at 3 stacks, but loses ATK-up when attacked).

  • Royal Knight: shared class that learns 'Wonseompa'; adjacent allies incl. self get ATK +20% and damage taken -15%, +30% ATK if an adjacent ally is present in combat. Wonseompa's performance is mediocre and its condition (ally adjacency) makes it hard to use despite Albatini's escort focus. Whether the class bonus applies when moving via escort needs verification.
  • Storm Knight: learns the father's Noejeon Pokyeolcham; if enemies are within 2 tiles, damage/crit-chance taken -25%, and ATK +50% if holding 3+ buffs. Albatini easily reaches 3 buffs via passive and escort range is also 2 tiles, so good synergy.
  • Empress Royal: exclusive Justica-Empress tree; learns key exclusive skills Saildo and Por di Empress. Grants ATK +20% each turn start and -20% damage taken when attacked, at cost of losing 1 stack ('Powerful Authority', max 3 stacks; at 3 stacks clears all self debuffs at turn start). Recommended as first priority to raise since it grants main active skills, but though ATK can rise up to +60%, stacks are easily lost due to Albatini's escort passive and taunt skill, making the peak hard to sustain.

Key Skills & Ultimate: Two exclusive skills (Saildo, Por di Empress) plus the father's Noejeon Pokyeolcham as a key skill.

  • Saildo: single-target from Justica; like a mix of Cals's Yeolsalseom and the father's Nakildo. First consumes all held TP, then deals ATK 130% + 25% ATK per TP spent. Crit chance fixed at 1% like Nakildo. At TP 5, a mighty 255% peak; even at TP 3, 205% (rivaling Nakildo's 210%). Since typical single-target skills are 150~170%, this is very strong. Easier to use than Cals/Sharn who have similar full-TP skills, because Albatini has a TP-refund passive. Cooldown 3.
  • Por di Empress: buff skill from Empress Royal. Costs TP 3, taunts enemies within 2 tiles for 1 turn, and grants the unremovable 'Por di Empress' buff for 2 turns (DEF/RES/counter damage all +50%, grants cover/control-zone in surrounding 1 tile). An upgraded 'Cry of Taunt'. Turns medium-armor Fighter Albatini into a strong tank. Taunt is a very strong status, plus counter-damage boost, so a must-take.
  • Noejeon Pokyeolcham: AoE from Storm Knight. Costs TP 3, deals 170% electric damage to a single target and 70% to adjacent enemies, applying the counter-block debuff Shock. Cooldown 3. Excellent skill with good multiplier, debuff, and AoE.
  • Ultimate Changcheon Ilseom: directional forward AoE hitting enemies within 9 tiles, knocks 1 tile in a random left/right direction, then makes the hit tiles a control zone for 2 turns. A long-range formation-breaker; the damage area becomes a control zone, hampering movement. But the range is narrow despite the long reach, and Saildo eats all the TP, so openings to use it won't come easily.

Exclusive Weapon & Recommended Gear: Exclusive weapon is 'Imperial Armada', a new derivative of Armada. Bonus stats: ATK% and physical penetration. In combat, if target's HP is 70%+, physical penetration +15% (note: performance text says +15% here, while the weapon spec section says +40%; discrepancy in source (?)). Since the weapon itself grants physical penetration, even at 1-star you get 20% penetration, so the weapon is regarded as clearly strong. When Albatini uses it, additionally, if no crit occurred, 25% chance to trigger 'Merciless Slaughter' dealing 50% of wearer's ATK to enemies in surrounding 1 ring. This is why you shouldn't raise Albatini's crit chance; Merciless Slaughter also triggers on escort, so attacking an escort target can eat a pre-emptive strike + Merciless Slaughter as a double counter. A high-awakening Albatini with the 'Price of Pride' artifact counters twice, so an attacker can eat a 3-hit counter (double pre-emptive counter + Merciless Slaughter) before even acting and get wiped.

  • Armor: despite the escort passive, pre-emptive counter and Por di Empress give decent defense, so the trend is to go all-in on ATK and physical penetration ('kill before dying'). Ilgidangcheon is usually recommended; Pungun set if prioritizing survival. But Merciless Slaughter doesn't gain from ATK-up, so trade-offs apply.
  • Accessories: offensive accessories recommended like armor. Neuksong or Matan (ATK-up + physical penetration) recommended. Goyeongban (a dealer staple) is also viable for both firepower and survivability.

Evaluation: A slash-type Light-attribute dealer capable of tanking. Notably the first Light-attribute slash character since Iyolin, and armed with strong active skills thanks to recent power inflation, so as a matchup-neutral tank/dealer he'll pull his weight in any party. However, the escort target can't be chosen, and however strong Por di Empress's buff is, medium armor has limits, so he's more of a "dealer who can tank" than a true tank. He'll occasionally get taken out suddenly while escorting. So the standard is to pair him with Empress Christina to get the revive; if you have Empress Christina, he's worth getting.

Character review of Albertini de Medici by 하막군의게임튜브 · 2026-08-04

A new Slash character, and the reviewer has no complaints about the artwork — the art direction has been on a good run lately. What he does have is a list of bugs, because Albertini's central mechanic is unusual enough that most of the video is him testing what it actually does. (0:00)

Knight's Oath, and the guard nobody can see

Every buff he gains from a skill adds a stack of Knight's Oath — ATK and DEF, up to five stacks, growing with star level. If his remaining TP after a skill is zero, the spent TP is refunded; that's on a 4-turn cooldown at his star level and 3 turns at 6★.

Then the interesting half. At the end of his turn he secretly guards Empress Christina plus one random ally within 2 tiles, and the guard is hidden from the enemy. If Empress Christina is on the team, he revives once per match. (0:33, 1:04)

Three things he pinned down on camera:

  • It is an ordinary Guard. The patch notes used a different word for it, which started an argument about whether guard-ignoring skills would still get through. They do. (1:35)
  • The snapshot is taken when he ends his turn. An ally who walks into range afterwards is not guarded. (1:35, 2:07)
  • "Hidden" leaks. Open the buff panel on the target and the guard is right there — the same panel that lets you tell a clone from the real unit. He has reported it; he expects it to survive until the next fortnightly patch. (2:38, 3:09)

He also notes one bug that was fixed quickly: guarding the Empress used to make her briefly disappear, which meant Albertini died without the revive firing. (3:40)

Testing the revive

If Empress Christina is already dead, there is no revive — the condition is a living ally, not a roster entry.

If you Mind Control the enemy's Empress Christina onto your side, the revive does fire. But his replay shows a second problem: Phantom Thief Sharn Hoiste killed Albertini and then still got to move, which shouldn't happen against a unit that revives. In the live match his opponent saw Albertini dead while his own client showed him revived — a desync, and another one he's filed. (4:11, 4:43, 5:13)

Class: he'd take Storm Knight over the new one

Justica is simply the lower version of Empress Royal, so the comparison is Empress Royal against Storm Knight+1 more →.

Empress Royal grants Powerful Authority at the start of each turn: ATK up and damage taken down per stack, three stacks maximum, clearing all his debuffs when it's full. The catch is that being attacked strips a stack — single-target, area, and hits he eats as a guardian all count. Holding three stacks means going three full turns untouched, which he says essentially never happens; by turn two in a guild battle you're already down to two.

So despite Empress Royal being the new class everyone will run, he thinks Storm Knight+1 more → is the better pick. (5:13, 5:46, 6:18, 6:51)

Saildo

Two turns of Fighting Spirit, then it spends all his TP for 130% plus 25% per TP — a huge multiplier, at the cost of a fixed 1% crit chance. He describes it as Nakildo and Yeolsalseom welded together.

Its problem is the 3-turn cooldown. That's also why full manifestation changes how he plays: each Knight's Oath stack then also takes a turn off his longest cooldown, so the buffs he's collecting anyway keep Saildo available. (7:22, 7:54, 14:36)

Po di Empress is the actual main skill

Taunt everything within 2 tiles, then two turns of +50% DEF, RES and counterattack damage, immunity to movement and position control, and cover on the adjacent tiles.

He is unconvinced by the tanking half — this is a medium-armour Fighter with no shield and no innate mitigation, leaning on class stacks he's just explained are hard to hold. The counterattack damage is what sells it. +50% is already serious, and with Price of Pride on top he reckons counters land at +150%, which should make attacking him genuinely unpleasant. He hasn't raised his own copy far enough to test it. (8:24, 8:57, 9:27, 9:58)

The ultimate

Nine tiles forward for 100%, pushing everything one tile to a random side, and the whole strip becomes a control zone for two turns.

Two findings, both deflating: the random side really is random — he tested it with a barricade on the left and open ground on the right, and it does not prefer the open side — and the control zone is the only thing the ground does. No damage, no debuff, just terrain. (9:58, 10:30, 11:01)

Gear

One Against a Thousand if you're building him to hit; Envoy of the Storm and Scorpion of the Underworld two-and-two if you want the health instead. Accessory: Ancient Hero's Ring, which by this point in the release schedule is his answer for nearly everyone. (11:01, 11:32)

The weapon suits him, but wants 6★

Imperial Armada carries ATK and physical penetration, up to 10% each at max awakening, and gives +40% physical penetration in combat against a target above 70% HP. After combat, if no critical hit landed, it fires Merciless Slaughter for 50% of ATK on everything within one ring — and at 6★ that trigger becomes guaranteed rather than a chance.

The design fits: crits carry +150% damage, no crit fires a free 50% ring, so either outcome pays. Every attack he has except Wonseom-pa is a combat attack, so the weapon is live almost all the time. His summary is that it's excellent but only really works at 6★.

He adds a note for other rosters: because the +40% penetration clause applies to whoever holds it, this is a useful weapon for a one-punch character trying to delete something at full health. (11:32, 12:02, 12:32, 13:03, 13:35)

Runes

All Chaos. Crit does nothing for him — Saildo is locked to 1%, and the weapon actively rewards not critting. (13:35)

Manifestation

The first stage adds full debuff removal to the revive. Stage four drops the TP-refund cooldown to two turns. Stage six is the one that matters: every Knight's Oath stack also reduces his longest remaining cooldown by 1. (14:06, 14:36)

Artifacts

Attribute Overload+8 more → he waves off. Peak Condition+12 more → only pays while he's actually tanking. Price of Pride is the pick and he expects it to be near universal — +30% Max HP, more damage taken in combat, and counterattacks at double damage, stacked on Po di Empress's +50%. (14:36, 15:07, 15:37)

Verdict

High attack, excellent counterattacks, and workable in PvP. The whole case for him, though, is Empress Christina: a genuine revive is a big deal in an SRPG, and with a high-manifestation Empress on the team he rates the pair highly. Without her — or with a low-star one — he says you can skip this banner. (15:37, 16:09, 16:41)
