Guide
Note: The following is subjective NamuWiki community opinion (KR server).
Evaluation: A sturdy deal-porter bringing Pandragon-faction buffs and the first Mecha (Majang-gi) summon ultimate. Feels like a Medici base with a bit of Black Prince mixed in; like Medici he can double-stack shouts and has a single-target burst skill, and the 1-turn Vigor that previously required tough conditions (5-awakening Arcion / buffed Blue Lacid) is instantly available. Even though the support side feels stronger, he is armed with Thunderclap Slash and various defensive skills, so his solo performance is strong in both damage and durability, and the Arondight-summoned Majang-gi Strike + Extreme Annihilation damage is enormous.
Shields add ranged-firepower counterplay, giving a Haidellun counter following GGS; his becoming Blue-attribute is speculated to be an anti-Haidellun (Red-attribute) measure. To disrupt Arondight summon you must keep denying his 3x3 space, so melee dealers sticking close are better than ranged characters (who create space), encouraging melee hero use.
However, as with the original Lacid's backstory, he has an oddly large number of hindrances, and Pandragon-faction heroes are pushed out by power creep, so contrary to pre-release fears he is not a balance-breaking overpowered character. It is also unfortunate that space constraints make Arondight summon hard to use well in World Boss Raids.
Still, on damage he can mimic 1-manifestation Black Prince's 1-turn Ashura with respectable damage, his own performance is strong even without Arondight, and his support (shout / class-passive buffs) is usable regardless of faction. Fun/gimmick plays like pairing with Dragon Knight Blue Lacid for a Double Dragon Knight (+40% AoE damage boost, +60% resistance) are possible. Pandragon heroes and shout skills will keep being added, so his standing is expected to rise as more high-performance Pandragon heroes arrive.
Performance/Class notes: Base job Fighter; Tier 2 unique class Bow Prince; Tier 3 classes Dragon Knight / Sovereign Knight / High King.
- Dragon Knight: main AoE class from the Blue Lacid era; grants "Ice Dragon's Protection" (AoE damage boost) to allies within 3 tiles and deals extra ice magic damage on combat attacks. Big upside that buffs apply to allies; usable in Arondight state; can double-stack with Blue Lacid. Only Tier-3 class with no defensive function, so squishiest, watch survivability.
- Sovereign Knight: learns "Struggle Mind"; on shout-skill use gain 1 extra action/skill per turn and refund 1 TP; if allies within 2 tiles outnumber enemies, attack +50% and damage taken -50%. Specialized for shouts and formation; the finisher class for a shout-buffer build (tanky, unlike rival Medici who gets cut down).
- High King: learns "Heavenly Wave"; Bow Prince->High King tree; gains "King's Atonement" buff when ally heroes are attacked and provides armor-type defensive buffs to nearby heavy/light armor allies. "King's Atonement": per-stack damage +20%, on attack grants a 2-turn shield (60% of attack) to allies within 3 tiles then removes the effect; max 3 stacks. Looks like a dealer but stacks all vanish on one attack (only one hit effective), and it boosts "damage" not attack power (no effect on attack-ratio skills). Really closer to a deal-porter: shields allies each turn, gives penetration defense to tanks and magic-damage reduction to mages. Highest raising priority since it teaches Thunderclap Slash and Heavenly Wave (which enables Arondight summon).
Key skills:
- Thunderclap Slash: TP 2, gain "Battle Intent" (+20% atk/spell, 2 turns), 170% single-target damage (effective ~190%), ignores cover, range 1-2, cooldown 2. One of the game's best single-target burst skills.
- Struggle Mind: pick 1 of 3 random shout skills, cooldown/TP follow the used skill but TP -1; undocumented interaction gives Vigor Shout a TP -1 discount too. Downside is random target selection.
- Heavenly Wave: TP 2, range 1-4, teleport to an empty tile in a straight line up to 4 tiles then deal 40% damage to surrounding enemies (1 ring) and push them out 1 tile; recover TP per enemy hit; cooldown 4. Weak damage but teleport + AoE + TP charger; essential for setting up the 3x3 space to summon Arondight.
- Xavier's Breath: TP 4, direction-targeted 3x4 ice magic (90%) + Cold Slow and Frostbite debuffs, cooldown 3. Strong but usually skipped in favor of summoning Arondight; consider with Ice (Blue Ice character).
- Vigor Shout: TP 4, from Knight; grants "Vigor" (one extra action/skill after melee attack, 2 turns) to self and adjacent allies.
Ultimate (Arondight Summon): Transforms into the series' iconic Mecha, Arondight. Needs an empty 3x3 space centered on Lacid; replaces him for 2 turns. Arondight base stats = 170%~200% (250% at full manifestation / Ultimate Enhancement 3) of Lacid's, but crit rate/damage and physical penetration are excluded (become 0). Actions: basic attack/counter/move; Majang-gi Strike (150%, Armor Break -50% def 2 turns, cooldown 2); Extreme Annihilation (120%, Rupture 2 turns, cooldown 1); Dismount; unique passive "Strongest Majang-gi" (immune to action control, position control, silence; stat-reduction resistance). Caveats: no damage self-buffs so real damage is far below the raw numbers; effective duration ~1.5 turns; ~2x Lacid stats means HP often under 10k and easy to kill; hard to summon and poor synergy with auto-AI (AI rarely uses it, may even dismount).
Recommended gear:
- Weapon: signature Barisada Divine (attack +10%, physical penetration +10%). Also strong synergy with Gray Knights G.S's signature "Ashen Oath" (attack up to +15%, makes 1-turn Arondight easier: only 3 enemies needed instead of 4 thanks to move-attack Focus). Also good with Elizabeth's signature "Moonlight Rose" (rose-blade): stacks attack buff onto shouts (Battle Shout attack buff becomes 35%) and boosts Arondight's final attack a further 15%.
- Armor: attack-focused (High King shield, signature shield, Arondight skills are all attack-ratio). Crit options only benefit the Holy King buff and are wasted in Arondight state, so prioritize atk/spell/def/res/HP. Use Hyeopgaek 2-set or Salsu 2-set for attack; Ilgidangcheon 2-set for physical penetration if you have the signature weapon.
- Accessory: High-tier Hero ring is best (attack 10%, crit damage taken -10%, HP recovery). Neuksong for attack + physical penetration at hero grade.
- Note: Arondight counts as a summon, so equipping Necronomicon summons it at a higher level than Lacid (up to +5 at full awakening, max level 60 Arondight), useful for level-corrected PVE stages.
Tier rating (S/A/B): (not present in source)
Awakening/Manifestation progression: Awakening: - Stage 1: Ultimate Enhancement 1, Stat Enhancement 1 - Stage 2: Unique Passive Enhancement 1, Stat Enhancement 2 - Stage 3: Ultimate Enhancement 2, Artifact Acquired - Stage 4: Unique Passive Enhancement 2, Artifact Enhancement 1 - Stage 5: Ultimate Enhancement 3, Artifact Enhancement 2 - Stage 6: Unique Passive Enhancement 3, Artifact Enhancement 3 Passive enhancement values (from Performance section): - Pandragon's Legacy: base stats +10% ~ +15% base; +20% base stats & movement +1 at 2nd awakening; +25% & movement +1 at 4th; +30% & movement +1 at 6th. - Holy King: per stack base stats & crit rate +3% ~ +5%, max 6 stacks; +7% at 2nd awakening; +9% at 4th; +10% at 6th. KR Creator Guide
Character review of Lacid Pandragon (King) by 하막군의게임튜브 · 2026-08-04
Holy King Lacid was hyped as broken before release, because he buffs the entire Pandragon faction, and then landed to a muted reception. The reviewer's diagnosis is blunt and structural: there aren't many good Pandragon units to buff yet.
His advice is to stop chasing the mech. Run him as a buffer now, and revisit him when the announced Pandragon tank and mage arrive — at which point his kit is built to snap into place. (18:58)
Pandragon's Legacy is an Authority, so it doesn't stack
It collides with Shakvari's and Gray Knights G.S.'s Authority effects — only one applies. The Holy King stacks he gains scale with how many Pandragon allies actually received the Legacy: up to 6 in raids, realistically 4 in guild battles. (1:31)
Running down the faction roster, he rates Dunamis Rembrandt as the only Pandragon in regular use, with Witch Cameo Beaufort as the other unit that becomes properly strong alongside Holy King Lacid. (2:02)
Class: Sovereign Knight now, High King later
Sovereign Knight refunds 1 TP and grants an extra action on a Shout, plus +50% ATK and -50% damage taken while allies within 2 tiles outnumber enemies. Strictly more, not equal — and it re-evaluates live, so it drops the moment you move away from the group.
High King's penetration and magic reductions key off having a heavy-armour or light-armour Pandragon ally nearby, which is precisely what the upcoming Pandragon tank and mage are for. That's the class to switch to later. (3:04)
Struggle Mind discounts every Shout
The trick that makes the buffer build work. Simply having
Struggle Mind
equipped cuts all Shout skills' TP cost by 1 — including
Vigor Roar+7 more → slotted
separately, which drops from 4 TP to 3.
So: slot both, open by handing Vigor to the allies on either side, then spend 1 TP on one of Struggle Mind's three random Shouts. (5:39)
Heavenly Wave needs three targets to pay for itself
Heavenly Wave costs 2 TP and refunds 1 per enemy hit, so two targets breaks
even and you need four to actually net TP toward the summon. The fix is the Gray
Knights G.S. exclusive weapon: it is a move attack, so that adds another TP
back, and three targets then returns 4 TP.
Combined with the unique passive's extra action at TP 5, that is how you get the summon out on the same turn. (7:12)
Arondight is a separate unit — do not buff it
The most important finding in the review, and the one most likely to cost you a match if you don't know it.
Summoning removes Lacid from the field and puts Arondight there. They are different entities and buffs do not transfer either way. Arondight's stats are locked in at the moment of summoning, so you stack everything on Lacid first.
Applying anything that changes stats to Arondight afterwards appears to reset it back to base — he demonstrates ATK dropping from 12,100 after an ally buff lands. His rule is absolute: after summoning, give it nothing, Esmeralda's Second Wind included. (9:44)
There's live argument about whether an extra action from Second Wind ends the summon. His read is that it should, because the two turns are real turns rather than a buff duration, so the extra action consumes one of them. (9:13)
Gear
Wide open — anything works. His Crit is decent enough that Black Crow isn't needed; One Against a Thousand or Envoy of the Storm are the common picks, with Black Banner as the accessory. (13:21)
His own weapon is optional
The opening shield expires on its own after two turns, which makes the Glorious Resistance rider effectively dead. What's left is a small ally shield — until ★4, which adds Movement +1 including to himself.
His ranking: the Gray Knights G.S. weapon is better, and if you are running him purely as a buffer, take Elizabeth Pandragon's Moonlight Rose instead. (13:51)
Four manifestations is the usable line
Two manifestations upgrades the passive's extra attack to a full extra action and adds Movement +1 to the Legacy — enough to push Witch Cameo Beaufort to 6 Movement, which he rates highly. Four drops the cooldown to 2. Six only moves numbers. Summary: 2 to use him as a buffer, 4 to use him properly. (15:54)
Artifact: Constellation of Fate
The default, but the five stacks it needs are genuinely hard to reach — you have
to keep gaining buffs from skills. Once there it is unremovable and gives -50%
Crit damage taken, +50% Physical Penetration and an extra TP per turn.
Xavier's Blessing+2 more → is dismissed outright. (17:27)
