Guide

  • The first Legendary Monk, and a playable 5-star able to use Sun Light (the skill), which had not appeared in a while.
  • As a Seopung final-boss-caliber unit, he arrives armed with a strong passive and skills capable of heal/damage/survival all at once, a fairly powerful signature weapon, and a distinctive, strategically usable ultimate, making him worth using.
  • Big drawback: in World Boss Raids (a current main content), auto-play is forced, so his AI fires the ultimate whenever TP is full, unconditionally killing one ally. This makes him seen as a troll worse than teleporting units that break flanking formations, so his use there is effectively barred. (People rushed him into raids for the new "hospitality" buff and got burned.)
  • Passive "False Miracle": toggles him between full-HP and playing-dead states. If not killed in one turn, he revives at full HP next turn while dealing AoE damage and AoE healing. Spell power boost is welcome since most of his kit scales off spell power. Very hard to deal with in PVP (must one-turn-kill). But he is light armor so dies easily, and the passive triggers on "character turn end," so stun / action-denial disables it. While in the played-dead "corpse" state, position-control skills still work on him (can be pulled with Dark Embrace / Unreal Black Hole, or pushed with Ming-Ming Burst), which can be used to adjust where his revive AoE heal/damage lands.
  • Tier 3 classes: HighPriest (supports adjacent allies' Spell/Def/Res, learns Sun Light, but no self-benefit, low raise priority), Autocrat (learns "Fanatic Boon"; strong PVP-leaning class that halves one enemy dealer's firepower via "Blood Oppression," low raid value since raid bosses have mediocre attack "and you can't use him in raids anyway due to the ult"), and God Hand (learns "Miracle Recover"; the only class with no adjacent-ally requirement, most fitting and most recommended since Cesare must be front-line for his passive; Miracle Recover is a strong recovery skill).
  • Key skills: Blasphemous (AoE + unremovable "Cannot Heal" debuff; synergizes with Diene's exclusive weapon Justice Crusader; high TP cost, long cooldown), Fanatic Boon (buff that boosts damage/survival and grants re-action but removes manual control - AI takes over; fine for auto play or World Boss Raid), Miracle Recover (heal + near-invincibility, only 1 TP, must-take; only flaw is 3-turn cooldown), Sun Light (top-tier light magic doing damage + heal + buff-strip + debuff-cleanse; high TP but worth it).
  • Ultimate "Twisted Sacrifice": sacrifices one ally (kills them) to create a "Sacred Land" zone for 3 turns; excellent zone effect. Can minimize the penalty by casting on units with revive skills, on self-destruct passive Omega, or on core-summoning Prios to blow up all cores. Cannot sacrifice summons or Cesare himself ("because he can't laugh next to the pyre if he burns himself").
  • Equipment: signature weapon "Ark of Injustice" staff (bonus stats Spell Power + HP); when allies within 2 tiles attack, heal 15%~40% of spell power, and after skill use gain "Tainted Revelation" at 50%~100% chance (magic penetration +15%~40%, damage taken -15%~40%, extra action after combat attack; 2 turns; cooldown 2). High-performance heal/damage/tank weapon, though the 100% proc only at 6-star is a letdown. Armor: Chancellor 4-set, or Pope 4-set for cooldown reduction; accessories: Stopwatch for spell power + cooldown, or Hero-grade Chalice of Devotion to focus on healing.
  • No verbatim S/A/B tier letter rating is present in the text.

Awakening/Manifestation progression: Each stage grants two things (Inner Break track + Inner Cube track): - Stage 1: Ultimate Enhancement 1 / Stat Enhancement 1 - Stage 2: Unique Passive Enhancement 1 / Stat Enhancement 2 - Stage 3: Ultimate Enhancement 2 / Artifact obtained - Stage 4: Unique Passive Enhancement 2 / Artifact Enhancement 1 - Stage 5: Ultimate Enhancement 3 / Artifact Enhancement 2 - Stage 6: Unique Passive Enhancement 3 / Artifact Enhancement 3 (Scaling context from passive/ult text: Max Awakening = spell power +20%, "False Miracle 4" deals/heals 70%; Max Manifestation = spell power +50%, max HP +20%, "False Miracle 7" deals/heals 100%. Ultimate "Twisted Sacrifice" goes 170% (Max Awakening) to 200% (Max Manifestation) light fixed damage.)

KR Creator Guide

Character review of Cesare Borgia by 하막군의게임튜브 · 2026-08-04

The reviewer stopped pulling at 5★ when his currency ran out, and points out early that it barely matters here: between 5★ and 6★ the only difference is a cooldown. He likes the art, though he thinks it reads as a softened version of the Seopung original. (0:00, 0:30)

False Miracle: he dies on purpose

At the end of his turn, if his HP isn't full, it drops to 1 and he enters False Miracle: untargetable by skills, unable to take damage, unable to fall below 1 HP, unable to act. On camera it looks like dying — he drops to the ground and gets back up at the start of the allied turn at 100% HP.

His summary is the useful one: treat it as being Banished, and as flatly unkillable while it lasts. When it clears it deals Radiance damage to enemies within 3 tiles and heals allies in the same radius for the same amount, so the downtime pays for itself.

He'd speculated on stream about standing on spike terrain in a 1v1 and looping death-and-resurrection forever. The cooldown floors at 2, so no. (1:00, 1:30, 2:02)

Class: Autocrat to suppress, God Hand as the default

Autocrat is +50% spell power with an adjacent ally, and at the start of each allied turn it stamps Blood Suppression on the highest-attack enemy within 4 tiles: -50% ATK and M-ATK, plus fixed Radiance damage worth 50% of his spell power at the end of that enemy's action. He underlines the word fixed — at the spell-power numbers current characters carry, he estimates two to three thousand a turn that nothing mitigates, on top of halving a dealer. This is the same adjacency shape as the Royal Knight / Royal Wizard+1 more → line.

God Hand needs an enemy within 3 tiles rather than an ally adjacent: spell power up, damage taken -30%, and any enemy ending its turn within 3 tiles loses 1 TP and one buff. Stacked with the exclusive weapon's -40%, that's -70% damage taken just for standing near someone. He expects most players to settle here. (2:34, 3:05, 3:36, 4:07, 4:39)

Blasphemous, Fanatic Boon, Miracle Recover

Blasphemous deals 90% in a 2-tile radius around a target up to 3 tiles away and applies Cannot Heal. Plain, but the heal block is worth having — and because it costs 3 TP it's the natural partner for a fully manifested Gishne Drifford, who cuts the ultimate's TP cost by 2. Spend three on Blasphemous this turn and the ultimate is available next turn. (4:39, 5:10, 5:40)

Fanatic Boon buffs another ally within 3 tiles with damage dealt, DEF and RES and gives them an action — but the AI takes that action, not you. He rates it down heavily for that, while allowing that the AI isn't a complete idiot and there are spots for it. (5:40, 6:12)

Miracle Recover heals an ally for 100% of spell power and makes them untargetable — not invulnerable, so area attacks still land, which is why it carries an area-damage reduction rider too. It also grants immunity to cooldown-control effects and shaves a turn off the target's longest cooldown at end of turn, for two turns.

He ran a specific test: line up an immune character in front and another behind, and see whether enemy cooldown control passes through to the one at the back. It doesn't — the immune unit absorbs and cancels it. Against an Este Dode deck in a guild battle, that's a use. (6:12, 6:42, 7:12)

Twisted Sacrifice is the character

Target another allied player within 4 tiles; they take absolute damage and die. For three turns a Sacred Land zone covers two rings around where they were, dealing fixed Radiance damage worth 160% of his spell power — 200% at full manifestation.

Four things he establishes, and they change how the skill reads:

  • The ally isn't gone. The wording makes people assume an unavoidable execution, but it's ordinary death — a unit with a revive simply comes back. That is most of the skill's value.
  • It must be an allied player. Summons and minions can't be targeted.
  • The zone lands before the damage, but the zone's +15% damage taken doesn't apply to it, because fixed damage doesn't scale with damage-increase effects.
  • The Focus rider does apply. Cast from inside your own zone and you finish the turn 1 TP up.

For scale he reaches for Este Dode's Hedonic Grab, which is 140% fixed and which everyone already knows the damage of. This is 160% at 5★, 200% at full, and it's an area attack. Without the exclusive weapon he was seeing three to four thousand.

The zone keeps paying afterwards, too: any ally standing in it gets a TP back after each skill, so a 1 TP skill like Sprint+25 more → is effectively free. (7:44, 8:14, 8:46, 9:16, 9:46, 10:16)

One combination he flags: cast it on Omega, who detonates on death. (16:25)

Gear

Chancellor of Darkness and Cardinal, two pieces each — nothing exotic. (10:47)

The weapon wants full awakening

Ark of Injustice heals him whenever an ally within 2 tiles attacks, and after he uses a skill it has a chance to grant Corrupted Revelation: magic penetration up and damage taken down, both to 40% at full awakening, plus an extra action after his next combat attack. Two-turn cooldown, and the extra action consumes it, so it isn't permanent — but close to it in practice.

The chance is the problem: it climbs 10% per star and only reaches 100% at full awakening. ★4 adds skill range +1, which he calls the point where it becomes comfortable at an 80% trigger rate — while noting nobody actually enjoys an 80%. (10:47, 11:17, 11:48)

Runes

He hasn't committed, and says there's nothing obvious to chase: this isn't a character who attacks often, so magic penetration is wasted. His inclination is survival — Cloud, plus Sun for the critical-damage-taken reduction — and giving up a set bonus rather than forcing a damage line. (12:18, 12:48)

Manifestation

The ultimate climbs to 200%, and that's the headline; the rest is numbers moving by the same 15% at every stage. Stage 2 changes his basic attack to Chastise for one attack after each revival. Stage 4 drops the False Miracle cooldown to 2, which he calls the point where he's comfortable to play. Full manifestation adds Max HP and takes the wake-up damage and heal to 100% of spell power.

His verdict on investment is blunt: manifestation doesn't turn him into a different character, so stage 2 is the value stop. (12:48, 13:18, 13:50, 14:21, 14:52)

Artifacts

Meticulous Preparation+10 more → for the TP on turn one, so the ultimate comes earlier. Elemental Mastery: Radiance+3 more → raises spell power every time he casts, which raises the fixed damage on everything else, and is his main pick. Legacy of Ruin — an ally dying leaves a pickup worth 1 TP and a shield — fits the ultimate thematically but he finds it awkward to actually use. (14:52, 15:23)

Verdict

He is careful not to oversell it. No individual active is exceptional, the passive isn't remarkable, the class passives aren't remarkable — and the mitigation is thin enough that a rogue can simply kill him if the weapon's reduction isn't up.

What he has is one fixed-damage area ultimate that wipes teams, plus a heal block and enough utility around it. That makes him strong on an attack deck and awkward on defence, where the only AI-friendly tool is Fanatic Boon — though he concedes that handing a re-action to something like Heavenly Demon Cheon would be terrifying. With Gishne Drifford enabling the ultimate every other turn, he thinks there's a real power deck here. (15:55, 16:56, 17:26, 17:59)
