Guide

Note: the following is NamuWiki community assessment (KR server), subjective community opinion, translated faithfully.

  • A one-woman army who can do the work of three by herself. Fittingly for an Inner-Break character released on pickup right before Outer One, she came out with power strong enough to say the balance is completely broken; a broken-tier character who can single-handedly handle heal / DPS / tank / buff / debuff / status-cleanse together with her summons.
  • Passively she summons a support drone that can heal + shield + cleanse debuffs + buff firepower + use an area debuff skill. Actively, if you just match the class, she can fire a 3x5 area skill every turn and summon a ranged DPS drone capable of sniping; she herself can pump out area firepower, debuffs, or support as she likes, active in both PVE and PVP.
  • Unlike Gamma (a specialized enhanced version of Meri), she is not just a different character from the original Cordelia (a trap+buffer position), but is so insanely strong it becomes embarrassing to compare them.
  • PVP: She is extremely strong and has lots of physical-penetration lines, so she shows firepower fully in PVP too. With just a little control you can dump her own and the artillery drone's two consecutive 3x5 area skills plus the support drone's silence in one turn; in Fighting Tournament, where opponents typically bunch up in a single column, if this combo lands the opponent may as well declare themselves dead. So opponents want to remove her as fast as possible, but she is a ranged attacker whose skills are summons or long-range and stay in the back row, so you must break through the drones and other characters to deal damage. All drones have 25% damage reduction, are immune to weaken/fear and ignore damage-over-time, so they don't crumble to formation-breaking, stun, or DoT; the support drone has heal + debuff-cleanse + shield, making other characters' durability higher too, so front-line breakthrough is hard. Even if you break through, with the passive Reinforced Armor Plate effect she is no glass cannon, and if she picked the "endgame-rated" Automata Tinker class she also gains attack-scaled def/res, gets another Reinforced Armor Plate when a drone dies, and has HP-recovery options stacked on the passive and high-awakening dedicated weapon, so her durability is excellent and she is extremely hard to kill.
  • As a result, in the top-tier PvP meta of mid-to-late June 2026 (when Theta released), the so-called "Al-Gam-ja-Pong-Se" comp of Altair + Gamma + Zard + Frederick (Pongpong-i) + Theta dominates, chewing through even Outer One comps.

Recommended gear: dedicated weapon is a crossbow named "Nothing" (added stats: attack and physical penetration); its awakenings scale up strongly, with the 3rd awakening (TP-gain effects) being the key one, enabling the combo Artillery Drone Summon -> Lightning Burst -> extra turn -> Plasma Buster. For armor, prioritize sets that raise attack/HP/crit-rate (which transfer to summoned robots); best fit is Cirano's dedicated "Successor" set, with Salsu 2 (attack) plus Milsa 2 or Myeonggye 2 (HP), or Ilgi 2 for PVP. Accessory: Cirano's dedicated "Changse-birok"; otherwise Goyeongban for PvP or Necronomicon for PvE, and Whetstone if focusing firepower via Plasma Buster's added-hit Plasma Collapse.

KR Creator Guide

Character review of Theta by 하막군의게임튜브 · 2026-08-04

Theta is the second Tempest Sieg, built on Cordelia Austin, and the reviewer rates her well — mostly because of her drones. His summary is that in a game where the enemy is usually an AI, a character with summons is inherently strong: the AI takes the bait, the drones soak the aggro, and the real Theta survives.

And these drones aren't chaff. He is emphatic that a well-built Theta kills you with her minions before you reach her, and says plainly that the drones are stronger than she is. (27:56)

5 copies is enough; 4 manifestations is nearly everything

The mechanics barely change with rank. Armored Suits reaches tier 2 at 5 copies and tier 3 at 4 manifestations, and the gap between 4 and 6 manifestations is a single 5% step.

His caveat is that everything the drones do scales off Theta's own ATK and health — so even a 5% step matters more than usual. Full manifestation is better, but 5 copies is genuinely playable. (2:05)

One thing to know before you go looking for it in game: Armored Suits never appears as a buff icon. There is no duration, no stack count — the DEF/RES and damage reduction are simply baked into her base stats. (5:45)

The self-destruct isn't a kill

A.S.X. and the other drones detonate on lethal damage rather than dying to it. The reviewer flags why the wording matters: because it is a self-destruct, the attacker is not credited with a kill. Cyrano Bernstein killing a drone gets no extra action out of it. (4:14)

Class: Automata Tinker for drones, Arc Cannoneer for direct damage

Automata Tinker is the drone build. It converts 15% of ATK into DEF and RES, raises ATK and Max HP, and adds two effects: Scrap Engineer grants Recovery Plating and an extra action whenever any allied mech or machine unit dies — anywhere on the field, not just nearby — and Control Module cuts a summoned unit's skill cooldown by 2 and grants it Focus.

That cooldown reduction is what makes the drones cast every turn. (8:52)

Note the extra action requires her to attack first, and it persists, so you can bank it and spend it on a turn you want to swing twice. (9:52)

Arc Cannoneer is the direct-damage option. Plasma Resonance stacks +10% ATK and M-ATK per stack up to 6 whenever a character within 5 tiles casts a Fire or Lightning skill — and read that carefully: any character, enemies included. The resulting buff then goes to whichever nearby ally casts the next Fire or Lightning skill. (7:49)

Plasma Buster and its badly-written tooltip

Plasma Buster is 110% in a 3x5 line, applying Plasma Collapse, and under Arc Cannoneer its cooldown drops to effectively every turn. Plasma Collapse means the target takes an extra 30% of ATK whenever it is hit by Fire or Lightning.

The reviewer spends real time untangling the tooltip and his conclusion is worth carrying: the "can critically hit, ignores damage reduction" clause applies only to the 30% extra hit, while the "+10% area damage taken" is a separate effect that anyone can trigger. At 2 stacks the extra damage reaches 60%, which he says genuinely hurts.

He also floats pairing her with Anne Millennium or Kana Milanovich to set those detonations off, though he hasn't tested it in a real match. (13:41)

The drones

Artillery Drone Summon places an Inaris-line drone inheriting 100% of her ATK, Max HP, penetration and Crit Rate, with damage reduction and a long list of immunities. Under Automata Tinker it gains another 20% base stats — at which point, he notes, the drone is stronger than Theta.

Its Lightning Burst is the skill to watch: a 3x3 line for 110% that strips two buffs and applies Shock. Starfall is fine but Lightning Burst is better, and Automata Tinker's cooldown reduction lets it fire repeatedly. (16:04)

A.S.X.'s own skills are strong too — Support Protocol heals, clears a debuff, returns TP and grants +30% stats with a shield; Discharge Protocol strips two buffs in an area and applies Shock and Silence, at double damage against mechs. The limitation is that you can't choose which one it uses. (19:07)

An important behaviour: drone stats track Theta live. Buff her and every existing drone updates immediately — no need to re-summon. (18:37)

Gear

One Against a Thousand with Envoy of the Storm and the full weapon puts her at exactly 100% Physical Penetration, so nothing else needs to chase it. The new Atomic Bomber set is the upgrade if you have it; otherwise Black Banner.

Because the drones inherit her stats, put reforges into ATK and health — keeping drones alive matters. (21:10)

The weapon is mandatory, ★3 minimum

There are no good crossbows to substitute, so this isn't a choice. It supplies Physical Penetration twice over — the base stat plus Output Amplification — which is what gets her to 100%.

★2 adds Resource Recovery: when any player dies, ally or enemy, she regains an armour-plating stack, health and TP. ★3 adds Resource Supply, topping her to 2 TP whenever she casts below that. ★5 adds TP on death, ★6 adds area damage reduction and a large heal below 40% HP. His ladder: ★3 for value, then ★5, then ★6. (23:46)

Runes

Nothing exotic — Devotion/Chaos with Ultimate, or the standard Chaos/Sun mix. One specific call: use Chaos in slot 2, not Sun. Slot 2's Sun rune is percentage ATK, and her base stat line isn't high enough for that to beat the flat 80. (25:52)

Artifacts

He rates all three poorly and runs Blast Padding: ATK, increased shields given, a turn-start shield carrying +30% DEF, and +30% Crit Rate while a heavy weapon skill is equipped — which she almost always has.

Her own artifact is +20% ATK and penetration with a Lightning-resistance shred, which he thinks loses to Blast Padding's 30/30 in PvP. Peak Condition+13 more → he skips. (26:22)
