Build Guide by Axiom

Guide
Class Run Azure Sovereign (Tier 3) as the default — telekinetic control (Azure Shackle / Dragon Trail) plus heavy self-sustain from Dragon Heart. Draconic Knight is the alternative for debuff-punishing burst.
Skills Dragon Heart is always-on value: Dragonification → Wild Dragon Mode gives escalating ATK/Crit/HP, damage reduction, a penetration-shred aura, and per-turn TP. Dragon Word silences a nearby enemy each turn.
Equipment Dragonslayer Sword Gram (exclusive) for the Crit and cooldown-cycling; Fade's Deadly Poison + Ring of Purification cover DoT pressure and control immunity.
Overall Assessment A durable bruiser-controller: near-permanent buffs, strong self-heal, silence and immobilise tools, and revive-punishing interactions via Death Prevention.

Character review of Dragon Slayer Zephyr by 하막군의게임튜브 · 2026-08-04
The reviewer's headline is that Dragon Slayer Zephyr is not really a DPS at all
— he is the strongest debuffer in the game. His raw damage never feels
impressive in play, and the reviewer says so repeatedly. What he does instead is
land movement lock, no-extra-action, healing reduction, end-of-turn fixed damage
and an ATK/M-ATK cut on an entire enemy group with a single
Dragon Breath.
(26:18)
He names his own counter, too: any future unit carrying Heal Block immunity plus move-control immunity would strip most of this away. (28:58)
TP generation is the quiet strength
Dragonification restores 1 TP at end of turn and Wild Dragon Mode restores 2, with the class layer on top — he describes TP filling unusually fast for a Slash unit. One detail worth knowing: Dragonification's post-combat HP restore is not lifesteal. It resolves after the counterattack has landed, not on the hit itself. (1:02)
What actually triggers Wild Dragon Mode
Dragonification lasts 3 turns, so Wild Dragon Mode arrives on turn 4 by default. It comes early if an enemy triggers a death-prevention effect — Esmeralda turning, Cyrano Bernstein reviving. And there is exactly one way an enemy can gain one: Deimos handing his Dark Blood across. Against a Deimos team, Dragon Slayer Zephyr effectively opens in Wild Dragon Mode with full TP. (2:02)
Dragon Word is a free three-turn Silence
At the end of his turn, with any enemy inside 2 tiles, he casts it for nothing. Its removal chance starts at 25% and climbs 25% a turn, and it cannot be cleansed — so an unlucky target sits silenced for three turns off a free cast. (3:05)
Class: Azure Sovereign is what people run
Azure Sovereign gives a flat -40% damage taken, +40% damage taken by the target on any attack (area skills included, not just combat), and applies Azure Shackle before the hit lands. Kill something carrying Azure Shackle or Azure Dominion and you get an extra action. (7:45)
Vindicator+1 more → is the tanky alternative, and it stacks two reductions where the text implies one. The wording reads as damage-reduced-then-buff-granted; in practice Forced Salvation lands first, so its -20% and the once-per-turn -40% both apply to the same hit — 60% reduction, on top of cutting the attacker's ATK/M-ATK by 40%. (7:13)
Draconic Knight is the one to skip. It has the highest damage number on paper, but only 10% above Azure Sovereign, and Dragon Wrath needs the enemy to have debuffed him with a skill first. Too conditional to be worth it. (10:20)
Cleansing Azure Shackle makes it worse
This is the trap worth remembering. Azure Shackle is Move -2, no extra action, cannot be guarded — and it upgrades to Azure Dominion, a full immobilise, when it is removed, not when it expires. So a Heidelun casting Ghost to clear her debuffs converts it into the unremovable version and freezes on the spot. (8:46)
The combo: Dragon Breath under Azure Sovereign
Azure Shackle is Move -2 and
Dragon Breath's Sluggish is Move -1. Most Slash
units have 3 Movement, so the pair immobilises them outright — and cleansing it
turns into Azure Dominion anyway. Add no-extra-action on top and the enemy line
simply stops moving. (15:30)
The ultimate is a disappointment
Yehi Or strips every buff off the target before attacking, which sounds enormous, but the damage is fixed — so damage-increase effects don't apply, and his base ATK is low to begin with. The reviewer rarely casts it. Its one genuine niche is against enemies stacked with damage reduction, where fixed damage lands regardless. (16:01)
Gear has no right answer
He runs One Against a Thousand with Black Banner to reach 100% Physical
Penetration, then immediately points out that Wild Dragon Mode's aura already
cuts enemy penetration resistance by 30%, so chasing 100% is optional and ATK
may serve better. His "just tell me something safe" answer is
Envoy of the Storm with Black Banner. A Victor's Crown build also
exists, using
Lightning Palm+1 more → as a move attack to recover TP.
(19:06)
Dragonslayer Sword Gram to ★4, and it is mandatory
Dragonbreaker Strike gives +50% ATK and Physical Penetration and — the important part — cuts the longest remaining cooldown whenever the target survives. Which is exactly what Dragon Breath does, so you get to cast it again next turn. ★4 adds that cooldown reduction; full awakening makes it -2 with no turn limit. The catch is that the buff is removed on a kill, so any extra action you earn hits softer. (19:37)
Artifact: Fade's Deadly Poison, and its one counter
Fade's Deadly Poison+1 more → is the main artifact — Healing received -50%, 50% of ATK as fixed damage at end of turn, and Incapacitated on top. Because it is a Heal Block effect, Heal Block immunity blocks it outright: his own Hermes' Grimoire does exactly that, and so does Dahlia Igret. Applying it after the fact doesn't help; the immunity has to be up first. (22:12)
The budget build
Three copies for the artifact and ★4 on the weapon. His version of "good enough" is cheerfully low-effort: pull a 3★ copy, equip whatever you have, run him in, fire one Dragon Breath and let him die — the job is done. He rates him poorly on defence teams, where the AI can't make use of his short movement. (27:58)
